If you’ve been asked this question before, you can relate to the overall sense of discomfort shared by many blended race individuals throughout daily life. Carrying the experience of inhabiting two or more nationalities is beautiful yet sometimes rendered as a struggle by outside forces.

This is also a corner spectrum of race that is not spoken of often. I am often asked this question a couple times a weekk by individuals who then regard me as “exotic” or “weird” due to my Black+Japanese heritage. This is why I have poured my inner turmoil into one 10pg zine!👐🏽
